Phillip’s Roadway Services Wins the 2023 Apex Capital Client Calendar Contest
There’s no place like Las Vegas. That’s exactly why Phillip Scherer, president and founder of Las Vegas, Nevada-based Phillip’s Roadway Services, LLC, drove to the Vegas strip and snapped a photo of his pearly white rig cruising down the colorfully lit pavement. He crossed his fingers and entered the pic in the 2023 Apex Capital Client Calendar contest.
He hit the jackpot. Phillip’s Roadway Services, LLC won the coveted cover spot of the 2023 Apex Capital Client Calendar. Phillip also gets to choose which month he wants his rig to represent. Phillip’s winning photo is one of those right place and right time shots. Flanked by palm trees, a velvety black sky, and the neon-fortified “Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas” sign, Phillip’s distinctive truck owns the strip.
“We took this photo on the Las Vegas Strip for a few reasons,” says Phillip. “I started back in 2018 with one truck and we have grown to 15 brand new trucks over the last four years. This is a 2022 Volvo VNL 760 with a 2022 trailer. I have done everything at this company from day one and built it into what it is today, so this photo represents four years of hard work, dedication, motivation, all the ups and downs of life and everything else in between.”

Apex Shows Appreciation for Our Clients
Our annual Apex Client Calendar is one of the many ways we show our appreciation for our clients. We like to frame 13 chrome and steel beauties and showcase them as shining examples of pride and joy. This year’s contest to select the baker’s dozen trucks and pick a cover winner began June 9 with photo submissions through July 7. From July 11-15, our fellow Apexers voted to select the Top 13, and from July 21-Aug. 2 public votes determined the cover-winning truck.
Back in Vegas, Phillip says he wanted to get into the calendar and knew “this was the time to get it done.” Phillip, who launched his trucking company in 2018 with the Apex Startup Program and immediately became a factoring client, expresses his gratitude: “Apex has been amazing with helping me with anything I needed along the way in the last four years,” he says. “Thank you to the Apex team and a special thank you to my Account Executive Reich VanWinkle for being great and helping us out over the years.”
