Apex Capital is celebrating this holiday season by sponsoring holiday adoption at the Texas Pythian Home for Children, for the second year in a row. Apex adopted all 14 residents of the home, committing ten presents per child. This year, the children range in age from one to 14 years old and each had their own wish list.
David Baker, President of Apex Capital stated, “Apex believes in making a difference in the lives of others, and it warms my heart to see that tradition continued. Thank you to all our Apexers for their hard work and their generosity.”
Fundraising for Texas Pythian Home for Children
Fundraising efforts have been underway for months to provide a rich and thoughtful Christmas for the children of the Pythian Home. Faux fireplaces were crafted and displayed around Apex by the Corporate Citizenship and Holiday Committee volunteers and stockings were hung for each child with their Christmas wish list. Apexers selected which children to adopt and the gifts they purchased. Additional charitable donations by employees and the company will go toward a gift card and other needs of the home.
The Texas Pythian Home, located in Weatherford, Texas is a non-profit, 501(c)3 licensed, basic residential child care facility. Their mission is to provide a safe, stable environment for children to grow physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually in order to become responsible, independent adults.
